During the current business climate of rapid change, streamlining and efficiency drives it is inevitable that organisations have to make roles redundant- either individually or en masse. This can be a difficult and uncertain time for everybody, reducing motivation, increasing stress levels and sometimes leading to conflict.
If handled well however, staff members who are threatened by redundancy, or a major change in role, can be assisted to see the potential opportunities that open up for them and appreciate the chance of a positive new start.
